On those cooler days when a cold kale salad just won’t cut it warm your day and self up with this powerful protein and nutrient rich warm salad.
Today I feed your senses with sweet crêpes , that will tantilize your taste buds and offer you a healthful dose of protein. This recipe is especially wonderful on those days when you want to switch up your veggie eating routine.
You do not have to be French to make great crepes, you don’t even need a crepe pan, you can use your simple kitchen pan and spatula to achieve gorgeous results that will even impress the French folks in your life. Trust me, as my loving partner is from Paris and is often referred to as Frenchy or French Alex, and he thinks these crepes are Magnifique!
Turn your kitchen into a Creperie and if you have a spot in your home such as a balcony or window pull some chairs out and enjoy your meal whilst looking at the pedestrians walking by, just as one might do whilst enjoying a crepe in Paris!
Creativity and inspiration pair together just as beautifully as peanut butter and chocolate. It’s hard to have one without the other. As we are always surrounded by both and with the awareness of their presence we can put them to great use.

This recipe is fun, simple and delicious! The cutlets are very versatile as they can be eaten as is, made into eggplant parmesan or used in a sandwich. Serve with a side of veggies, salad or over gluten free pasta. I recommend storing an extra stash of these breadcrumbs for future recipes, you can dehydrate them or bake them in the oven and store them in an airtight container. Let your imagination run wild with all of the possibilities of breading other vegetables or sprinkling these nutritious crumbs over your favorite salad. Have fun & enjoy!

It’s not always easy to tell someone how you feel especially when you feel you’ve been betrayed. I believe no words or reactions could hurt more than the internal pain and suffering one goes through from holding their feelings inside. It’s vital to communicate with the ones you love and also with the one’s who’ve hurt you. One must express how they feel to stay true to themselves and to not harbor any stress or negativity in their mind & body as stress leads to disease. After all, your initial feeling of betrayl could escalate into betraying yourself if your feelings and emotions are not communicated effectively.
Sometimes after someone has betrayed you, you may not be able to communicate quickly or as soon as they would like, that’s okay. Everyone processes feelings, emotions, information at different rates. I find it’s better to let time pass to really reflect instead of react to the situation at hand. In the reflection process really take time to look at what caused you to feel this way and to also consider the other persons perspective, this helps one to gain understanding as to why the situation happened. It also creates space for compassion which is a key element to forgiveness.
Once you become clear about your feelings and are ready to communicate try writing them down to gain even more understanding and clarity to exactly how you feel. You may find that the way you first felt is different from the way you feel now. You may reflect back on the situation and see just how much it has taught you, and how it’s another gift from the divine steering you in the direction of your heart. This also helps one become grateful for the circumstances they’ve endured.

Finding forgiveness and gratitude for a situation that once hurt you is very liberating as it clears up space in your mind and body for more positive energy to flow freely through you and back out into the world. Is there someone you’ve been wanting to reach out to to express exactly how you feel or is there something you may want to forgive yourself for? Take a deep look inward and shine a light on the situation, you’ll feel great once you can truly forgive and let go. As my favorite poet once wrote -”Better by far that you should forget and smile than you should remember and be sad.” -Christina Rossetti
Farmers market yams with home grown garlic, rosemary and thyme make for the most comforting kitchen creation!
Not only are these fries delicious but they also provide wonderful nutrients and nourishment to our bodies. I love eating these fries with a side salad or as a side dish to a vegetable entree.
In southern california yams are available at farmers markets throughout the winter season. Roseamary is often found lined on sidewalks or as a fencing around peoples properties here in Venice Beach. Garlic has sprouted itself from my heap of compost and turned out to produce many bulbs in my garden bed. It’s an incredible pleasure to pick food from these sources and prepare them in a light and loving way. Preserving the integrity of the ingredients and honoring the simple pleasures of home grown body fuel.
