As I pack our bags for a month long adventure to Indonesia, I am sure to sprinkle in a few surprises to keep my 15month old boy a happy traveler. I stopped into my local toy store called Huzzah, in Venice, CA. It’s a fun shop full of toys for kids of all ages. I went without Nova to be efficient and to keep everything a surprise.
The service in this shop is top notch and the gift wrapping is so fun and of course makes everything easier for us when we are heading out for a celebration. I love the range both in price and age of their selection and especially love the cash wrap items, they remind me of when I was a kid cashing in my well earned amusement tickets for little trinkets to take home. I loved going to arcades and play centrs where I was rewarded to play and shopping in Huzzah brings back that nostalgic feeling.
I selected Tegu wheels to attach to Nova’s Tegu magnetic travel block kit. I also picked out some travel size bubbles, a snake charmer magic top along with four other surprise toys ranging from $2-$4. I had the four toys gift wrapped (for free) to excite and keep Nova busy a little longer on the airplane.
I forsee my only problem is going to be not wanting to give him these toys sooner. I am awful at keeping gifts a secret, as I’m already challenged with this when I buy Alex presents. Lucky for me I can tell you, that helps a lot! In the little red pouches are an animal tape measure, an alien finger puppet that’s squishy, a flashing neutron ball, and finger eyes to have some silly fun!
I’ll admit that I was a bit scared of the idea of such a long flight with a toddler but after my trip to Huzzah I can’t wait for the fun, surprise, adventure and play that will be had. If you live in the area or are passing through Venice Beach do yourself a favor( regardless if you have kids or not) and pop into this playful and nostalgic shop! After all the company’s motto is “neat toys for kids newborn to 90”!
