Since becoming a mama, I’ve been receiving many questions from other new moms about what and how I’m feeding my babe? So I thought it was best to answer those questions here for you all.
Feeding a baby can seem very complex and i’ll admit I had a bit of anxiety over what I would feed Nova, how to go about it, and even had many gagging moments at which scared the bejeebees out of me (especially the first several times they happened). I am far from an expert, if I had to label myself in this realm it would be an experimenter, observer and believer. I try things out, see how Nova reacts and believe that the choices I make as his mother are nourishing him.
Overall I’ve come to find that feeding my baby is quite simple (when I follow my gut). With intuition, a trusty bib & sponge I move confidently forward feeding Nova what I believe to be the most nourishing foods for his curious and growing being.
Nova’s not a picky eater, he’s a very curious little fella. He’s loved absolutely every food he’s ever tried and even eats a raw onion like an apple at times. I’m constantly amazed at how he devours spicy foods and has abundant love for all things green. Let’s hope this lasts…regardless, I trust that how I feed him now will undoubtedly set him up for a lifetime of being love fed (a mom can hope and do her best to be the example).
Here’s hoping you have many fun moments feeding your sweet baby and trust in your innate motherly wisdom.
